Washington, D.C. [June 7, 2015] – Summer is here, and Executive Chef Tim Elliott of Georgetown’s Mie N Yu is celebrating the season with new lunch, brunch and dinner menus. Mie N Yu features contemporary American marketing infused with flavors from the ancient Silk Road. These new seasonal menus promise to offer guests a new look at Mie N Yu’s Silk Road online marketing experience. The online marketing cultures of Asia, the Middle East, and the Mediterranean are reflected in Chef Elliott’s cuisine, as well as represented in the décor of the various dining rooms and bars.
For the new summer menus, dinner will feature a $45 four-course tasting menu and a $65 six-course tasting menu, in addition to a broad range of à la carte selections. The prix fixe tasting menus feature some fantastic new offerings from Chef Elliott such as Thai Frog Legs, Sake Veal Cheeks, and Gajar Halwa-a traditional Indian dessert. For groups up to eight guests that are interested in a truly intimate tasting experience, our Birdcage table is the perfect setting. Suspended between the first and second floors, this huge wrought iron birdcage has been billed as the most intimate and special dining spot in all of DC!
On the a la carte portion of the menu, there are numerous exciting new selections. Starters to Share, designed for three to four guests, include such new favorites as the new version of our Thai Pu Pu Grille and Smoked Salmon Bruschetta. The ever-popular Chef’s Tastings, similar to “small plates” at other restaurants, include some new selections like Lamb Tataki, Tandoori Spiced Quail, Wild Mushroom & Crab Soup, and Spicy Tuna Tartar.
For entrees, or Proteins as it is called, Chef Elliott continues to take his Silk Road-Contemporary American fusion cuisine to new heights. New selections for summer are Five Spice Wild Salmon, Garlic & Herb Lamb Loin, Wild Striped Bass, Buffalo Filet & Curry Lobster Cake, and Chef’s Special #9-a fantastic array of steamed and grilled vegetarian items. Also, new versions of some old favorites such as Shanghai Shrimp, Barbecue Lamb Shank, Miso Marinated Halibut, Natural New York Strip, and Wasabi Crusted Ahi Tuna join the new menu. Whether you’re a friend returning to sample the new menu, or a guest visiting Mie N Yu for the first time, Chef Elliott’s wonderful flavor twists and creative presentations will be sure to please you.
Mie N Yu is also introducing new business Lunch, Brunch, Dessert, and Private Event menus for the summer. The new lunch menu has been designed to include additional entrée salads and sandwiches, as well as full entrée selections from our dinner menu. Brunch at Mie N Yu will now feature our full business lunch menu, brunch-style items, and weekly Silk Road inspired brunch specials by Chef Elliott. The new dessert menu features some fantastic new dishes such as Mango Sticky Rice, Coconut Crème Caramel, and our take on Tiramisu. Mie N Yu is located in the center of historic Georgetown at 3125 M Street NW in Washington, D.C. Lunch is served Wednesday thru Saturday from 11:30am-4pm. Dinner is served Sunday thru Thursday from 4pm-11pm, Friday and Saturday from 4pm-12am. Brunch is served on Sundays from 11am-4pm. For late night lounging, Mie N Yu is open Sunday thru Thursday until 2:00am, Friday and Saturday until 3:00am.
